Pete Smith has been involved in the music industry for the past 35 years.
He started his career in 1979 as an engineer at Utopia Studios working with such acts as The Police, Stevie Wonder, Central Line, Reflex, Joan Armatrading, Spandau Ballet, Van Morrison and many more.
During his time there he gained great experience of audio engineering and song construction, which eventually led into production. Since that time he has been actively involved in producing and engineering records.

He started his career in production with Reflex, who where on tour with The Police. This led to Pete's involvement in the demos for the Synchronicity album, and then went on to mix the live shows from Atlanta in London. He went on to co-produce Sting's first solo record “The Dream of the Blue Turtles”, which gave him a Grammy nomination. "Bring on the Night" was the live record of that album, which was recorded and co-produced by Pete in Paris. This brought home a Grammy Award for Best Live Recording for the team.
During his time as a producer Pete has worked with Gary More, Joe Cocker, Randy Crawford, Del Amitri, Squeeze, The Supernaturals, The Mock Turtles and many more.He has worked extensively in England and Europe. European successes include Sasha in Germany and Dicte in Denmark.
